I’m Sara Causey, the owner of Causey Consulting LLC.

The corporate world often celebrates loudness, aggression, and Machiavellian attitudes, but real leadership isn’t about being behaving in an extroverted or domineering way. Effective leaders think critically, act decisively, and maintain integrity under pressure. Introverts and HSPs bring essential qualities to leadership: thoughtfulness, introspection, and reflection. Recognizing and leveraging these traits allows quiet leaders to create meaningful change beyond surface-level charm or showmanship.

I spent more than a decade in staffing and HR, which provided me with a front row seat to leadership dynamics, management structures, hiring decisions, and corporate processes. I’m also an introvert (INFJ) and an HSP myself, possessing my own horror stories of what life was like for me in dog-eat-dog, bullpen environments. As an author, researcher, and biographer of Dag Hammarskjöld, I’m committed to exposing the absurdity of the Western world’s obsession with extroverted leadership—especially when it so clearly isn’t working.
