I received some viewer mail from “Eddie” based on last week’s podcast episode about impatience. He’s tried the same advertising strategies as other people in his market but hasn’t had any good results. In fact, he pretty much feels like he’s thrown money into a hole and will never see it again. He hired so-called experts who overpromised and underdelivered after saying they would “blow him up on social media.” 🙄 I had a similar experience last year with a marketing company that designed a FB ad campaign for me and… crickets and tumbleweeds. You know how many new clients I received from that? 0. You know how much accountability I received from the marketing company? Also 0.
If that sounds dour, it’s actually not. Here’s the good news: just because other people in your space are spending huge sums of money on social media ads, it does not automatically mean that you have to! Just because other struggling business owners in your space are throwing money into a hole, never to see an ROI on it, doesn’t mean you have to do the same thing.
